The baccalaureate results before the inquiries
According to the methodology for the organisation and running of the baccalaureate examination, the results of the candidates who took this examination were posted up Monday 11 July 2005. The data centralized by the Ministry of Education and Research show that the percentage of success before the settlement of inquiries is 85.06% (one percent higher than last year 84.01%). The number of pupils who failed the baccalaureate is 20,013 (134,401 present candidates 114,325 admitted). Other 63 pupils were expelled from examination because of fraud attempt. The participation percentage in the baccalaureate is 97% (137,314 registered candidates 134,401 present candidates).
Among the counties who registered the highest success rates there are Hunedoara (95.34%), Mehedinți (94.86%), Botoșani (94.35%), Bistrița-Năsăud (93.21%) and Ilfov (93.15%). The lowest rates are registered in counties like Teleorman (61.02%), Brașov (71.40%) and Giurgiu (75.14%).
The inquiries registered yesterday 11 July will be settled today and tomorrow, while the final results will be posted up on 14 July. Those who completed the 12th grade and did not pass the baccalaureate this session have another change in September 2005 session that will start on 22 and 23 August with the examination at Romanian language and literature.
