The questions for the oral examinations of the baccalaureate have been published on the Internet

The Ministry of Education and Research published on www.edu.ro the questions for the oral exams of the baccalaureate in 2005. Those concerned may find going to http://www.edu.ro/subiecte_oral_2005.htmthe questions formulated by the National Service for Examination and Assessment for the following subjects: English, French, German as a foreign language, German language and literature as mother tongue, Croat language and literature, Italian language and literature, Magyar language and literature, Romanian language and literature, Slovak language and literature – for sciences and humanities specialisations, Spanish language and literature, Turkish language and literature as mother tongue – for theological and pedagogical specialisations, Turkish as a foreign language, Bulgarian language and literature – for humanities specialisations, Serb language and literature – for sciences and humanities specialisations, Ukrainian language and literature, Russian and Russian for minorities.

The questions for the oral examinations are developed at national level and include topics (issues) from the baccalaureate curricula. The examination boards will ensure, through the examination teachers, that the examination papers are arranged a day before the beginning of the examinations. The questions in the examination papers will be of such nature as to allow a complete answer in maximum 10-15 minutes.

The oral examination is carried out by two teachers who are members of the examination board. They may ask additional questions, usually after the candidate has delivered his/her answers. The oral examination is done in the presence of at least 3 candidates. Every teacher carrying out examination will assess the candidate’s answer with round marks from 1 to 10, based on the guiding assessment scale. If the scale does not lead to round numbers, the marks will be rounded accordingly. A candidate is considered to have passed an oral examination if he/she got at least 5 (five) in that examination. If not, the candidate is considered to have failed the respective examination.

The oral examinations are eliminating tests. The candidate who got a mark below 5 (five) or did not take an oral examination is declared “failed”, or “absent”, at the baccalaureate examination and cannot take any of the other exams. The oral examinations are public.

We remind you that the classes for the 12th grade end on 17 June 2005, the first baccalaureate examination this year – Romanian language and literature – is to take place on 27 and 28 June.

IMPORTANT: The questions for the written examinations in 2005 will be made public only after the examinations have finished!

Director,
Mircea MUREªAN
