PRESS RELEASE
The last day of registration
for the baccalaureate (session June – July)
According to the Methodology
for the organisation and running of the Baccalaureate 2005, Friday 13 May
is the last day when the candidates for the baccalaureate may register
to take these examinations. The registration takes place at the secretariats
of high schools, as follows:
- for the candidates who finish high school this year, the tables are drawn by the class teachers, in compliane with the records of the high schools (the tables include the pupils’ options for examination and their signatures);
- the candidates who finished
high school in the previous years are registered by the secretaries of
the high school within the examination centre to which the high school
attended by the candidates is distributed, based on their documents (birth
certificates and, if there may be the case, marriage certificate, school
records). If the candidates changed their permanent address and this is
attested by the identity documents, they may register to take the baccalaureate
examination at a high school having the same profile, named by the county
baccalaureate board from the county where the new address of the candidate
is.
The candidates who failed
the baccalaureate in 2003 or 2004 and who ask for the recognition of the
exams already passed in these sessions, must come at registration with
a certificate issued by the high school they attended, showing their results
at the baccalaureate in the previous sessions. The certificate, signed
by the head teacher and the secretary of the school attended by the candidate
will state for each session the subjects in which the examinations were
taken and the marks (a – f). Also, the certificate must mention the cases
when a candidate did not take an examination or was expelled from one or
more examinations.
The tables for registration in the first baccalaureate session for pupils who finish high school this year, drawn according to the calendar, are updated after the end of the second semester (striking off the candidates who do not succeed to finish successfully their school year or the candidates expelled) and are sent within three days from the end of classes, signed and sealed by the head teacher, to the examination centre. The head teachers of the schools attended by the candidates are responsible for the accuracy of data. For the 12th grade pupils who do not participate in the first session because they still have to take examinations to end their school year, a special day for registration at the second baccalaureate session will be set.
At the second baccalaureate session, the registration of candidates is done according to the timetable announced (18 – 23 July 2005). We remind you that the classes for the 12th graders end on 17 June 2005, and the first baccalaureate examination this year, the Romanian language and literature, takes place on 27 and 28 July.
